Overview

The Texas Water Utilities team is seeking a Customer Service Representative. Is responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to customers by handling inquiries, complaints, and requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner. The role may assist with order processing, service information, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to maintain positive customer relationships. Strong communication skills, problem solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset are essential for success in this role.


Location and Work Schedule


This position is based in Sugar Land, TX. We offer a hybrid work schedule.

This position will be willing and able to perform the following duties and others as assigned:



  • Receives, evaluates, and answers customer inquiries (phone or correspondence) in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
  • Processes service orders to the field, taking ownership of the customer inquiry to provide complete customer satisfaction.
  • Estimate adjustments to consumption and escalate to the manager to provide credit adjustments.
  • Make outbound calls to customers as necessary.
  • Works within established guidelines and policies.

What You'll Bring

Experience



  • 1 year of directly related experience in customer care.



Education



  • High School Diploma or GED



Kowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures relating to customer service is helpful.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite

Work Environment

  • Office environment
  • Light to moderate physical activity,requires normal hearing and vision.
