Human Resources Generalist (Temporary)

Location: Dundee, MI

Pay: $45.00-$52.72/hour

We are hiring an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a temporary opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for HR professionals with strong experience in employee relations, HR systems (Workday), onboarding, and compliance. You will serve as a key point of contact for employees while supporting daily HR operations across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide employee support by answering questions on pay, policies, and HR processes
• Manage HR transactions in Workday and timekeeping systems
• Coordinate onboarding, job changes, and offboarding activities
• Support leave administration (FMLA, medical, personal leave)
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and attendance tracking
• Maintain HR documentation, I-9 compliance, and audit readiness
• Partner with leadership on engagement initiatives and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• 1.5+ years of HR experience (manufacturing or union environment preferred)
• Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Work Environment:

• Onsite in Dundee, MI
• Primarily first shift with flexibility for off-shift and occasional weekend support
