Tooling Supervisor

We are seeking a Tooling Supervisorto lead and oversee all aspects of tooling operations, including design, development, maintenance, and optimization of tools on their respective shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes with power tools, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the tooling department, managing a team of toolmakers and engineers on a given shift.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets performance and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend tool life.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tooling-related issues.
  • Maintain documentation related to tooling specifications, maintenance records, and process improvements.
  • Responsible for life cycle of torque tooling i.e. Cleco, Atlas Copco and Estics.


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial automation maintenance experience, including some supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of power tools, and manufacturing processes
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with Crane systems and tooling lifecycle management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
