Responsibilities This position reports to the Manager, Quality and Regulartory Affairs and works with all Blood Center operating departments to ensure calibrations and equipment repairs are carried out according to regulations set by FDA, AABB and other accrediting agencies that audit RIBC. This position is key to ensuring consistent documentation of repairs to critical equipment used in the collection, processing and storage of blood products. In addition the Bio Med Technician is responsible for developing and tracking the assets of all operating departments and maintaining the central temperature monitoring system.
Establishes and maintains Asset management program for blood center equipment from initial purchase to decommissioning.
Qualifications Education: Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field. Significant experience in a related field in lieu of educational requirements will be taken into consideration. Qualifications: Prior experience in a GMP environment Must be able to lift and or move up to 55 pound weights used for equipment calibration Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Data entry skills required The proposed hourly rate for this positions is $27.66 - $31.11 per hour.
