The Student Branch Coordinator is a unique, community-centered role responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring exceptional service at UKCU's high school branches. This role supports financial literacy and workforce readiness by mentoring and guiding student employees as they deliver financial services to peers and staff. As a visible ambassador of UKCU, the Student Branch Coordinator helps shape the credit union experience for students while promoting operational excellence, compliance, and a positive culture in the school environment.



What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities

* Serve as an on-site resource for the student-run high school branches, conducting regular check-ins throughout the day to provide support to student interns.

* Provide coaching and guidance to student interns, encouraging professional growth, teamwork, and a strong understanding of financial operations

* Serve as the primary liaison between the school administration and UKCU leadership, supporting open communication and collaboration

* Monitor branch performance, staffing schedules, supplies, and branch readiness for daily operations

* Deliver quality member service by helping students and staff with account services, transactions, and credit union inquiries

* Collaborate with the Training team and Retail leadership to develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for student interns

* Represent UKCU at school functions, promotional events, and financial literacy initiatives, strengthening community engagement

* Support internal control efforts by overseeing cash handling, recordkeeping, and branch security in accordance with UKCU procedures

* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance data, member interactions, and community engagement metrics

* Provide additional support to Retail branches or administrative teams as needed, maintaining a flexible and collaborative approach


Qualifications

Who You Are

Experience & Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Two or more years of experience in a role involving mentorship, training, coaching, or people development.

* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently, adapt to a school-based environment, and maintain professionalism at all times
