Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Purpose Statement: Inspire people to discover their God given talents and develop their potential through artistic, educational, physical, and spiritual experiences in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Job Summary/Primary Purpose: The Aquatics Program Manager is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and evaluation of approved Aquatics programs. Provides program coordination, staff support, and administrative oversight of swim lessons and other approved Aquatics programming. This position works closely with the Aquatics Operations Manager to ensure pools are operated safely, effectively, and in alignment with department and state regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides direct supervision of Aquatics program staff, instructors, and assigned personnel. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university preferred; or three (3) plus years of experience in Aquatics programming, instruction, or program leadership. Experience in Aquatics program development and teaching. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position requires the ability to swim and meet all physical capabilities required of a certified lifeguard and instructor. Other physical requirements include good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity. Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment. This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 30 pounds occasionally. Working Conditions: The majority of the workday will be in a mixed environment including offices and a well-lighted indoor pool. The pool area is considered humid and moderately loud in nature. | |
