Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive assessment of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders in the outpatient setting with patients from birth to early school age years with complex medical diagnoses
  • Assessment and management of patients with oropharyngeal dysphagia in the Center for Airway Disorders and other multi-disciplinary medical clinics
  • Performing instrumental assessment of swallowing, including Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
  • Providing family education and case coordination
  • Completing documentation related to feeding and swallowing assessment and treatment
  • Working in close collaboration and partnership with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other health care professionals
  • The opportunity to provide feeding therapy services with program expansion

Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
Experience
  • 1-3 years of directly related clinical experience in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders is required. Strong clinical fellows may be considered.
Licensure/Certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA)
  • A current Massachusetts state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Ability to work collaboratively with inter-professional teams in a fast-paced medical environment.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
