Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the paint bottling line, with a primary focus on quality control, sanitizing, and safety. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety before they reach our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance:



  • Operate paint bottling machinery and equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Will perform basic machine operations to include stacking raw material, handling finished product cases, performing quality inspections and minor machine adjustments.
  • Perform regular troubleshooting of equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Monitor the bottling process to ensure consistency and quality.


Quality Control:



  • Inspect bottles and labels for defects and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Perform regular quality checks on bottled products, including color, consistency, and volume.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or defects to the Manufacturing Supervisor.


Sanitizing and Cleanliness:



  • Clean and sanitize bottling equipment and work areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Follow established ATP cleaning protocols and schedules.
  • Ensure all equipment is sanitized before and after each production run to prevent contamination.


Safety:



  • Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to protect personal and environmental safety, as well as company property.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Manufacturing Supervisor immediately.


Record Keeping:



  • Maintain accurate records of production batches, quality control checks, and sanitization procedures.
  • Complete and submit daily production reports and logs.


Team Collaboration:



  • Work closely with other team members to ensure production goals are met.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any issues or improvements needed.


Requirements



  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitizing protocols.
  • Ability to operate and maintain machinery.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.


Working Conditions



  • This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes and loud noise.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including all shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Temperatures range from a low of 50 degrees in the winter to 90 or above in the summer.
  • Dust and dirt can be airborne and at times may impact air quality.
  • Majority of work is conducted while standing or walking.
  • Need to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and other similar physical activity.
