POSITION OVERVIEW
Job Summary The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing various aspects of the procurement process to ensure that the organization obtains the necessary goods and services at the right quality, quantity, and cost. They will work closely with internal departments and suppliers to streamline procurement operations for skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and new building construction. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within established budgets and guidelines. Monthly reporting creation and distribution to key stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities * Coordinates activities within the organization's purchasing function. * Edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders. * Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications. * Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries and performs related clerical duties. * Contacts vendors and suppliers for quotes and follows-up on outstanding purchase orders as needed. * Assists with month-end purchasing reports and documentation. * Supports accurate coding and allocation of expenses. * Supports new campus openings, renovations and special projects. * Receives purchase orders, invoices and other forms and reconciles for completeness and accuracy. * Works with vendors to ensure that products are delivered according to schedule and that purchasing terms and conditions are clear and agreed upon. * Stores and retrieves purchase orders, proof of purchase, proof of delivery, pricing quotes, receipts and other necessary documents. * Assists campus staff with ordering questions within the procurement platform. * Maintains knowledge of relevant software used to order and track goods and services. * Collaborates with and supports other business functions such as scheduling, contracts, financial analysis, financial reporting, and accounting. * Other duties as assigned.
