| Position Summary |
The Production and Business Assistant reports to the Assistant Director for Publishing Operations for production duties and the Fiscal Affairs Manager for business duties. This position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks and processes supporting the financial management of the University Press and the production of books. The role works with external vendors to convert print books to e-book formats and to ensure accessibility remediation, as well as preparing electronic book files for print-on-demand vendors. The Assistant also supports a variety of office procedures, including digitizing contracts and reports, compiling data, building reports, and creating internal workflows.
This position has a limited-term appointment, which is expected to end 12 months after the start date. The position may be extended beyond the initial term, contingent upon continued funding
