This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which servesthe telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Job Purpose

The Senior Financial Business Analyst plays a critical role in shaping the organization's financial data ecosystem. This role will drive the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise data assets with a focus on data warehousing, data governance, and analytics enablement. This role bridges business stakeholders, finance, and technology teams to ensure high-quality, trusted, and accessible data supports decision-making and reporting. This role enables a single source of truth for financial data, improves reporting efficiency, and enhances the organization's ability to make timely, data-driven decisions while supporting scalable growth. This position will report to the Senior Director, Financial Forecasting & Planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define, design, and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions that support financial reporting, planning, and decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into data models, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and reporting structures to ensure accurate and scalable data solutions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines, semantic layers, and analytics capabilities while aligning data architecture with business processes and key performance indicators.
  • Establish and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls to ensure data integrity, compliance, and consistency across the organization.
  • Lead data quality initiatives by improving data accuracy, lineage transparency, stewardship, ownership, and accountability models.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data dictionaries, business glossaries, standardized metrics, and reporting definitions to promote a single source of truth.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating requirements gathering, prioritization of initiatives, and translation of complex data concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, and user adoption efforts while leveraging AI-enabled analytics to enhance reporting and business performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes through integrated data solutions and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data as a strategic asset by advancing data governance maturity, improving data architecture, supporting roadmap development, and monitoring emerging data management practices.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 7-10+ years' experience in business analysis, finance transformation, or data-focused financial roles
  • Experience with data warehousing (ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling)
  • Experience with data governance frameworks
  • Ability to work across business and technical teams
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and enterprise data warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of data governance tools
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
