Shared Resources Spec I - Preclinical Modeling

The Shared Resources Specialist I - Preclinical Modeling is responsible for supporting the preclinical research needs of researchers using transgenic and preclinical mouse models, including patient-derived xenografts, at Fred Hutch. The Specialist will perform a variety of technical procedures including embryo transfer and other basic surgical procedures to support the science of creating and maintaining preclinical mouse models. This is an entry level position within the resource within Shared Resources with substantial room for growth. Responsibilities Research Support:
Involves research support that is mainly SOP directed, ensuring the Specialist develops a strong understanding of the fundamental science performed in Preclinical Modeling core.

Other duties as assigned including work on weekends, evenings, or holiday shifts as part of a rotation. The PCM Specialist is classified as essential personnel and, as such, is required to work with minimal number of absences and during all Center closures except in the event of a major disaster when access to animal housing and use facilities is prohibited by governmental emergency personnel. The hourly pay range for this position is from $29.77 to $42.39 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
