*Pharmacy Benefits Specialist* *Location:* Las Vegas, NV 89113 (Onsite)
*Pay:* $21/hour (weekly pay) *Schedule:* Full-time, rotating shifts (Mon-Sat) *About the Role* We are hiring Pharmacy Benefits Specialists to support a leading healthcare organization in Las Vegas. In this role, you will assist members, providers, and pharmacies by answering questions related to pharmacy benefits, claims, and coverage. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role in a fast-paced call center environment, handling approximately 40-50 calls per day during peak season (open enrollment). *Key Responsibilities* * Handle inbound calls from members, providers, and pharmacies regarding pharmacy benefits and coverage. * Educate callers on plan details, prescription coverage, and benefit usage. * Process pharmacy-related transactions including: * Coordination of benefits * Member reimbursements * Coinsurance and prescription inquiries * Resolve issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality customer service standards. * Accurately document all interactions and maintain HIPAA compliance. * Meet or exceed call metrics, productivity, and quality standards. * Act as a resource and mentor for team members when needed. *Required Experience* Open to candidates with any of the following backgrounds: * Pharmacy Benefits Specialist certification OR Pharmacy Technician certification (can be expired). * Pharmacy or medical benefits experience. * Pharmacy or medical call center experience. * Medical office experience (insurance verification, prior auth, etc.) * High-volume call center experience. *Preferred Skills* * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Experience with insurance verification or benefits explanation. * Ability to handle conflict resolution and de-escalation. * Comfortable multitasking and navigating multiple systems. *Work Environment & Schedule* * Fully onsite in Las Vegas (Green Valley area) * Call center hours: * Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM MST * Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST (rotational, paid as OT) * Required: * 1 late shift/week (12:30 PM - 9:00 PM MST) * Rotating Saturday every 4-9 weeks * Includes: * 30-minute lunch * Two 15-minute breaks * Additional follow-up time * Overtime: Possible during peak periods or if service levels drop *Why This Opportunity Stands Out* * Conversion to full-time after ~90 days * Hybrid eligibility after 1 year (performance-based) * Recognized as a "Best Company to Work For" multiple years in a row * Strong career growth and internal mobility opportunities * Supportive, team-oriented culture ("fun" environment) * Additional perks upon conversion: * Tuition/education assistance * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Paid community service opportunities Upon review of your application, a TEKsystems recruiter may contact you via phone or email to schedule an interview! *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Salt Lake City, UT. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
