Get to Know Your Team:

  • UT Health Carthage located in Panola County, boasts 23 private patient rooms. The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

  • Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality,cost-effective patient centered care.
  • The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty,integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability. Supports the mission and vision of the facility.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse program
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical/hospital setting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing leadership/management position
  • Current LVN/LPN licensure in the State of Texas
  • At least one (1) year LVN/LPN experience in a clinic environment
  • Must possess and maintain a current LVN license to practice in Texas
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of LVN/LPN experience
  • At least two (2) years of LVN/LPN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor
