The M&A Data Integration Analyst is responsible for supporting mergers and acquisitions with a focus on ERP system integration, data consistency, and accounting data integrity across systems. This role ensures that financial and operational data is accurately mapped, validated, and reconciled between source and target environments during integrations. This position operates at the intersection of accounting, data analysis, and business systems, serving as a key contributor during acquisitions and as an ongoing resource for maintaining data integrity across platforms. The role requires a high degree of attention to detail, analytical rigor, and independent judgment, with responsibility for identifying data discrepancies, developing validation processes, and supporting system alignment efforts with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

  • ERP Integration & Data Validation: Support ERP integrations during M&A activities by performing data mapping, validation, and reconciliation between source and target systems. Ensure completeness and accuracy of data throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Analyze and compare large datasets across systems to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and gaps. Resolve data issues in collaboration with accounting, M&A, and IT stakeholders to maintain system integrity.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis: Write and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems. Support repeatable processes for data comparison and validation.
  • Excel-Based Analysis & Modeling: Develop advanced Excel models and tools to support reconciliation, validation, and reporting efforts during integrations and ongoing operations.
  • Cross-Functional Integration Support: Partner with M&A, Accounting, and IT teams to support integration planning and execution. Act as a bridge between functional and technical teams to ensure alignment on data structures and requirements.
  • Documentation & Process Standardization: Document data structures, mapping logic, validation processes, and integration workflows. Contribute to building repeatable, scalable processes for future acquisitions.
  • Ongoing Data & Systems Support: Serve as a utility player outside of active M&A efforts by supporting data quality initiatives, system improvements, and ad hoc analysis across ERP and related systems.
