In this role, you will have an opportunity to interface not only with our clients but also with the Arizona State Judicial System daily. You are responsible for the timely and accurate assignment of legal counsel or guardian ad litem to indigent clients for a variety of courts throughout the County as well as clerical duties related to the assignments. About Us The Maricopa County Office of Public Defense Services assigns and oversees private attorneys contracted to represent indigent individuals in criminal, delinquency, dependency, mental health, and probate matters. We provide administrative support, financial oversight, integrated technology solutions, and HR support to all five of Maricopa County's Indigent Representation offices (Public Defender, Legal Defender, Legal Advocate, Public Advocate and Contract Counsel) in an effort to ensure indigent individuals have their fundamental legal rights protected and receive quality legal representation.
