Department of Neurological Surgery Faculty Los Angeles, California The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. The Department of Neurological Surgery is looking for an outstanding board eligible/board certified Neuro-Oncologist. The candidate will be fellowship trained and must be eligible for licensure in the State of California. This position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows in the areas of Neuro-Oncology. The successful candidate will develop and/or continue a record of scholarly accomplishment and participate in and/or develop clinical research programs in neuro-oncology, including investigator-initiated clinical trial protocols. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain independent funding to support investigator-initiated trials and related scholarly activities. In collaboration with relevant programs at Keck Medicine of USC and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, the candidate will help develop scholarly programs and a well-balanced clinical trial portfolio that advances the care of patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors. The successful candidate will also work with relevant clinical and research programs to develop new clinical service lines that provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors and neurological complications of cancer and cancer-directed therapies. In addition, the candidate will help establish standards of practice that promote efficient, safe, and coordinated patient care and facilitate clinical trial development, enrollment, and execution. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank. The position offers a competitive salary with excellent university benefits, and an academic appointment at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. The annual base salary range for this position is $275,000 - $400,000.
