What to Expect Tesla's Cell Infrastructure team is looking for an experienced HVAC commissioning and balancing Specialist to support the mechanical commissioning team through all phases of construction projects and optimization of existing facilities. This role specializes in the commissioning of wet & dry mechanical systems, balancing (TAB), associated controls, and envelope integrity testing. The ideal candidate will have a field intensive background in commissioning pre-functional and functional checks, TAB, retro-commissioning of existing facilities, and envelope integrity testing. The candidate will perform TAB, functional checks and other key activities for mechanical systems. Experience performing these activities in cleanroom environments such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and healthcare facilities is preferred. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the mechanical commissioning lead in the planning and execution of commissioning projects to ensure deliverables are met. It requires technical MEP expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively support multiple teams. This role has a travel expectancy of 25%. What You'll Do Support planning of HVAC commissioning scopes and perform activities in all phases from design, scoping, scheduling, execution, through turnover Perform design, submittal, and controls system reviews Develop commissioning plans, checklists, balancing reports, schedule, budget, and other technical documents related to mechanical commissioning Perform all field activities to complete project scope Conduct site walks, equipment inspections, and maintain a punchlist Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
