Job Summary:
An experienced Community Events Specialist assists in leading and executing best-in-class consumer-facing senior focused events. Assists in the market-analysis of community outreach platforms and develops market recommendations to Sr. Manager of Community Partnerships for business development within grassroots events and provider engagement. Using in-market knowledge and creating/leveraging community relationships to optimize business development for prospects (and stakeholders). Manages the assigned events in accordance to compliance regulations and to include but not limited to logistical support, onsite management, presentation facilitation, enrollment of members into Florida Blue Medicare and so forth for events such as, sporting events, lifestyle events, educational seminars/workshops, provider lunch and learn events, provider open house events etc. Accountable for ensuring events are registered through our Event Connect tool. Responsibilities include developing recommendations for new partnerships and venues for community-based events and implementing field marketing plans with key providers partners who want to grow their patient panels with Florida Blue Medicare.

Essential Functions:

  • Community Partnerships and Provider Engagement:
    Work closely with community leaders, sales agents and providers to assist in engaging prospects and stakeholders in local events and sponsorships, and support local offices in their event plan to include but not limited to Sales, provider community,
    Work directly with local community relations managers and business development managers in the area offices to participate in marketing events and assist with their respective event plans when needed providing insight as the Community Events Specialist.
    Assist in developing customized Community Event strategies and plans for programs/tactics and promotional platforms for each market and opportunity area where clinics, partnerships, retail centers and product opportunities are located, with a strong focus on opportunity/multicultural audiences.
    Assist in creating a business development plan for leveraged opportunities for revenue generation for Florida Blue Medicare.
    Conduct research and analyze data (Heat maps, county growth, etc.) to identify new and repeat opportunities
  • Community Event Coordinator Prep and Onsite Management:
    Manage the fulfillment of activation strategies and project plans to include run of show, collateral, promotional items, equipment, venue management.
    Manage the activation compliance standards for all field marketing activities within market (coordinating with Sales, Retail and Product to ensure alignment for sales channels).
    Manage use of internal and external resources and track allocated budget, provided per program by requesting clients through SLAs, SOWs.
    Manage the process to report event metrics.
  • Community Event Coordinator
    Maintain 2-15 License to provide compliant fulfillment as primary contributor in the delivery of various educational, sales and outreach activities for the Florida Blue Medicare segment) for such contracted programs as: New Member Meetings, Approaching Medicare Meetings,
    Participate in sales roadshows and product meetings to ensure industry and product knowledge are up-to-date.
    Review all CSR and Sales Bulletins, and other notifications) to ensure current information is known and accessible for in-field consumer Q&As.
  • Channel Support & Compliance:
    Serve as liaison with sales channel managers for Compliance Coaching for agents (all agents meeting, one-on-one, Q&As, etc.).
    Provide reminder communications to individual agents, agencies pre and post sessions.
    Escalation point for Sales Seminar issues with frontline agents

Required Experience:
4+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Community engagements/events
Active Florida 240 or 2-15 License

Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
Demonstrated program management, asset optimization, and coordination experience.
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and manage cross-functional teams, agencies and direct reports through tight schedules.
Must have a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems, both independently and as part of a team.
Minimum 25-35% travel required with overnight travel, which may include weekends.

More frequent travel during Annual Election Period and Open Enrollment Period (October - February).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Superior presentation delivery skills, demonstrated by experience in managing large audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Share Point.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Graduate degree in related field.

Knowledge of principles and practices of health care industry, to include Health Care Reform and Medicare.

Product development, marketing or sales experience.

Bilingual Spanish

General Physical Demands:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Physical/Environmental Activities:
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Frequently May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Occasionally Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment. Occasionally

Annualized Salary Range: $77,600 - $126,100

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $77,600 - $97,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
