1 year renewable Application Window Open date: June 2, 2026 Next review date: Tuesday, Jun 16, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Aug 24, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Experimental Smart Farm Specialist will support the design, planning, and execution of applied agricultural research studies critical to the development and ongoing operation of the ESF. Working under the direction of the ESF Farm Coordinator, this position plays a key role in day-to-day farm operations and research implementation across both field and laboratory environments. This position is central to the development of UC Merced as an Agricultural Experiment Station and includes a strong emphasis on outreach and engagement with the broader community, helping to bridge cutting-edge agricultural research with education, public awareness, and community collaboration. Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program. Qualifications Basic qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Agriculture, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent research experience. Preferred qualifications
