Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time 1.0FTE 40 hours/week.
  • Location: Northeast Minneapolis Corporate Office (Hybrid)
  • Salary Range: Starting range $63,000-$72,530 (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience & education)

Key Responsibilities

  • Compensation

    • Administer and maintain compensation programs, including job evaluation, salary structures and pay ranges aligned with Total Rewards strategy.
    • Lead data preparation, validation, and analysis for the annual compensation cycle (merit, market adjustments, including participation in salary surveys.
    • Analyze market data and salary surveys to support competitive pay decisions.
    • Conduct internal equity and market analyses to support consistent, equitable and market-aligned compensation practices.
    • Manage the annual merit increase process and budget using UKG Pro Compensation.
    • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate compensation changes and program impacts.
    • Develop insights and recommendations that inform compensation strategies and leadership decisions.
    • Develop annual leadership training aligned with Total Rewards strategy.
    • Support the ongoing development and evolution of the organization's Total Rewards strategy.


  • Benefits

    • Administer and continuously improve employee benefit programs, serving as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
    • Manage the annual open enrollment process, including communications and support of insurance renewals.
    • Partners with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefit-related issues and improve service delivery.
    • Analyze benefits utilization and trends to inform plan design and cost management strategies.
    • Develop and deliver benefits communications and presentations aligned with Total Rewards strategy.
    • Enhance employee understanding, engagement and experience with benefits offerings.
    • Partner with our Broker to develop and deliver communications aligned with Total Rewards strategy and delivering quarterly benefit breakdown presentations.
    • Serve as liaison with the Leave of Absence administrator to ensure coordination of benefits including responding to requests for information from the leave of absence administrator.


  • Compliance & Systems

    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and state-specific requirements (including Minnesota Paid Family Medical Leave).
    • Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation of required updates.
    • Partner with HRIS to maintain data accuracy and optimize compensation and benefits system functionality.
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities and system efficiency within UKG, Payscale and related tools.
    • Support audits and compliance reporting related to compensation and benefits programs.
    • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports that support executive and HR decision-making.


  • Employee & Leader Support

    • Serve as a consultative resource to HR Business Partners, managers and employees on compensation and benefits matters.
    • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leaders.
    • Deliver training and communications on compensation and benefits programs, including annual merit cycle education.
    • Support department leaders in preparation for compensation planning and decision-making.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of employee experience related to total rewards.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or related field is preferred. 2-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits or total rewards is preferred. 3 or more years of progressively responsible human resources experience required.

Certifications/Licenses:




  • CCP, CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift and transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and reach to hang scopes and stock supplies. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly on their feet. Employees must be able to tolerate personal protective equipment including; gowns, gloves, face masks and eye protection. Employees may be required to travel to other company locations due to staffing and training needs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in a clinical environment and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals or conditions including exposure to blood or other body fluids. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily. The employee may be required to travel by automobile and exposed to changing weather conditions while performing the duties of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be alert to conditions that may impact the safety of patients, employees and visitors.
