Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Associate performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment, receipt, storage, and movement of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. This role verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, completes documentation, operates warehouse equipment, and supports accurate inventory handling in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities




  • Receive goods, verify items against shipment records, and inspect items for condition and accuracy.



  • Gather, verify, test, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation requirements.



  • Record received and shipped items according to established procedures.



  • Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.



  • Complete written and computerized shipping and receiving documentation.



  • Operate RF scanners and powered equipment, such as forklifts or hydraulic jack lifts, as required.



  • Follow established shipping, receiving, safety, and inventory procedures.



  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.



  • At least 1 year of related shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience required.



  • Forklift and RF scanner experience required.



  • Forklift certification preferred.



  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including the ability to handle routine exceptions.



  • Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills required.



  • Effective verbal communication skills required.



  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record may be required.



  • Ability to operate powered equipment, including forklifts or hydraulic jack lifts.



  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
