Description We are partnering with a local client to hire PC Deployment Technicians for a large-scale thin client refresh (~4,000 devices) across multiple sites in the Madison area. This is a hands-on deployment role with a mix of staging, configuration, and after-hours installation work. Key Responsibilities * Stage and prepare thin client devices at a central location (imaging, configuration, asset tagging) * Perform onsite deployments, swaps, and basic setups across multiple locations * Decommission and properly handle replaced equipment * Join devices to Active Directory and validate connectivity * Troubleshoot hardware/software issues during deployment * Support end users with basic post-install questions * Accurately track inventory and deployment progress Schedule & Work Environment * Training: 1-2 weeks prior to project start * Shift: Approximately 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM * Mix of central staging work and local travel to client sites (after-hours deployments expected) Required Skills * Thin client deployment experience * Active Directory (basic join/troubleshooting) * Device imaging and configuration * Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware/software) Preferred Experience * Unicon or similar endpoint management tools * Large-scale deployment projects * PC refresh or migration experience Qualifications * Prior IT deployment or field technician experience * Ability to follow structured processes and meet project timelines * Reliable transportation for local site travel * Strong communication and customer service skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
