Role Overview

The Director, Brand Engagement: Advocacy & Influence will oversee the full-funnel brand engagement strategy and execution across all verticals - including Paid Social, Advocacy & Influencer (A&I), Social, PR, and Earned Media (seeding, events). The role is consumer-driven, aiming to recruit target audiences, maximize brand awareness, and drive key KPIs such as Share of Influence (SOI).

The ideal candidate will be an expert in influencer and social media, with deep insight into the beauty, culture, and luxury landscape, and will bring best-in-class thought leadership and innovation to the Brand Engagement team.

What You Will Do

  • Vision & Strategic Leadership: Own the overall vision and strategic direction for full-funnel brand engagement for the US market, aligning with overall business objectives. Lead the development and implementation of innovative, culturally relevant influencer marketing strategies across all platforms and formats. Bring strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on industry trends, innovations, consumer preferences, performance reporting, and consumer-focused data.
  • Performance Management & ROI Optimization: Oversee the measurement and analysis of influencer marketing performance, ensuring ROI-positive campaigns while owning the brands' Share of Influence (SOI) and driving Earned Media Value (EMV). Develop and implement sophisticated measurement frameworks and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration: Lead cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, including Marketing, Media, Education, Legal, E-Commerce, Sales, and Product Development. Align strategies with global brand teams to ensure consistency of the US plan against the global brand vision while advocating for local market needs.
  • Influencer Relationship Management & Partnership Development: Cultivate and manage relationships with key influencers, agencies, and industry partners. Negotiate major contracts and secure strategic partnerships.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in social media marketing, PR, and influencer strategy
  • Experience developing strategic plans, managing large budgets, leading teams, and driving business impact in the beauty industry
  • Creative, strategic mindset with a focus on consumer engagement and brand advocacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Social Media Marketing or Influencer Marketing certifications
  • Fragrance category knowledge a plus
  • Excellent communication, project management, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
