In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, testing, and integration of modem technologies and software systems supporting mission-critical defense and communications programs.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, test, and support modem software, hardware, and engineering tools
  • Perform software requirements analysis and contribute to architecture and system design activities
  • Code, integrate, test, and document software solutions for complex engineering systems
  • Research and evaluate technical data, specifications, and customer requirements to support development efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, leadership, and external stakeholders on major programs and projects
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams when needed
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of software engineering, modem engineering, or related technical experience
  • OR Master's degree plus 6+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience with software development using C++ and/or C
  • 3+ years of experience working in Linux-based development environments
  • 3+ years of experience supporting communication protocols, network systems, or software-defined modem technologies
  • 2+ years of experience supporting DevSecOps, cloud, or AWS-based environments
  • 3+ years of experience performing software integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and technical standards
  • Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges and define solution approaches

  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading software development lifecycle activities
  • Interest in applying AI technologies for innovation and process improvement
