Postdoctoral Associate - The Peng Group

Broad Institute
paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k), retirement plan
United States, Massachusetts, Cambridge
May 26, 2026

Description & Requirements

About The Broad Institute:
The Broad Institute is an amazing place - we apply our deep knowledge of human genetics to empower a revolution in biomedicine and accelerate the pace at which the world conquers disease. Through our partnerships with MIT, Harvard, and the Harvard teaching hospitals, we've become a worldwide hub of cutting-edge biomedical science.

About the Lab:

The multidisciplinary research in the Peng group aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which human diseases occur. We develop and integrate a diverse toolbox spanning single-molecule microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, spectroscopy, nanomaterial engineering, biophysics, chemical biology, and quantitative modeling to uncover previously unexplored biological processes. With bright and photostable probes, we have unprecedented capability to record ultralong-term "molecular movies" in living systems with high spatiotemporal resolutions and reveal molecular interactions that drive biological functions.

About the Position:
Experimental postdoctoral researcher to work on live cell single-molecule imaging.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have:

  • PhD in a biological science such as cell biology, immunology, neurobiology, biochemistry, etc. or related field
  • 0+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Solid experience in the development of biochemical and/or cell-based assays
  • Strong publication record and excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with primary cells and mouse disease models a plus
  • Excellent organization and time management skills required
  • Must be able to handle a variety of tasks and to adapt to a highly dynamic environment.
