Job Title: Service Engineer (Remote Support Engineer)
Location: Newark, DE (Onsite training; 100% remote after training)
Employment Type: Contract (Approx. 7 months, potential extension)
Pay Rate: $32.93/hour
Schedule: 24 hours/week - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

About the Opportunity

Join a fast-paced, global healthcare diagnostics support environment where your technical expertise directly impacts laboratory operations and patient care outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical issues, working with customers remotely, and providing high-quality service in a structured, performance-driven environment.

You'll start with a 3-week full-time onsite training program in Newark, DE, followed by a fully remote schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Provide phone and email-based technical support to internal and external customers
  • Troubleshoot complex clinical laboratory instrument issues (including diagnostic systems)
  • Use customer tracking systems to document, monitor, and manage service tickets accurately
  • Take ownership of open cases and drive timely resolution or escalation when needed
  • Meet or exceed service-level performance metrics and response expectations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to resolve customer issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements
What You Bring
  • Associate's degree in a science or engineering field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in med tech, biomedical, engineering, or healthcare support
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and documentation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote support environment
  • Willingness to complete onsite training in Newark, DE
  • Ability to travel up to 20% if needed

What You'll Bring:
  • Associate Degree.
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Biomedical Engineering or Engineering.
  • Demonstrating a high level of technical expertise in clinical laboratory practice while supporting Dimension Systems.
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills to improve the customer experience and achieve customer satisfaction by providing highly technical troubleshooting of complex issues to meet issue resolution and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Our ideal candidate will exhibit initiative to learn and demonstrate technical expertise in clinical laboratory applications, as well as the electro-mechanical ability needed to troubleshoot diagnostic laboratory instruments over the phone.
  • You must possess strong computer skills and be able to communicate effectively over the phone, and through written documentation.
  • You must be able to make sound decisions that promote the interests of both client and the customer.
  • Candidate must be a selfless team player and enthusiastic proponent of change.
  • You have analytical thinking abilities to support advanced technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for assigned product line.
  • You have exceptional phone and communications skills to support collaboration with the customer, as well as other internal resources to develop and implement action plans to resolve customer issues.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and other applications.
  • You have a positive "can-do" attitude in all communications and the ability to thrive as a member of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Leverages team abilities to best serve the customer and collaborates with team members and counterparts in other parts of the organization to develop and implement action plans to resolve customer issues.
