*Job Title: Director of Total Rewards*
*Job Description*The Director of Total Rewards serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership and the Board of Directors, designing and executing a data-driven total rewards strategy that supports the company's mission and promotes a high-performance culture. This role oversees the research, development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, including production-based incentive plans, executive compensation, self-insured health benefits, and other employee benefit offerings. The Director provides consultative guidance to management on sound compensation practices and ensures full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation, payroll, and benefits. *Responsibilities* * Design and lead a comprehensive, data-driven total rewards strategy that aligns with the company's mission and drives a high-performance culture. * Direct the research, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, production-based incentive plans, and executive compensation. * Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of employee benefits programs, including self-insured health plans and other core benefit offerings. * Analyze compensation and benefits data to evaluate competitiveness, internal equity, and cost-effectiveness, and recommend adjustments as needed. * Run and manage annual merit cycles, including planning, budgeting, communication, and execution. * Manage equity-related programs and processes, including awarding stock at different levels and ensuring accurate administration of equity plans. * Provide consultative guidance to leadership and managers on compensation and benefits decisions, policies, and best practices. * Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements associated with compensation, payroll, and benefits programs. * Oversee or closely collaborate with payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. * Partner with executive leadership across multiple locations to align total rewards programs with organizational goals and workforce needs. * Collaborate with external vendors and partners supporting payroll, equity, retirement, and benefits programs to ensure high-quality service and effective program administration. *Essential Skills* * Proven experience in compensation analysis and total rewards management, with a well-rounded understanding of all components of total compensation. * Strong knowledge of benefits programs, with experience in self-insured health plans or deep familiarity with employee benefits design and administration. * Demonstrated ability to analyze data related to compensation and benefits and translate insights into actionable recommendations. * Experience running and managing merit cycles, including planning, execution, and communication. * In-depth understanding of equity compensation, including processes and considerations for awarding stock at different levels. * Payroll management experience or significant involvement in overseeing payroll operations. * Thorough understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation, payroll, and benefits programs. * Ability to serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, providing consultative guidance on total rewards. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Experience working with ADP Workforce Now for payroll administration. * Familiarity with JPMorgan platforms for equity management. * Experience with Fidelity or similar providers for 401(k) and retirement plan administration. * Strong communication and consultative skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders. * Comfort working across multiple locations and collaborating closely with executive leadership teams. *Why Work Here?*You will join an organization that lives its core values and maintains a strong, visible presence in the community. The position involves on-site presence at both locations to support leadership and ensure effective alignment of total rewards programs with organizational goals. *Job Type & Location* This is a Permanent position based out of Silver Spring, MD. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $210000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
