Arizona Arts Live is seeking a Box Office Manager to lead and manage all aspects of Arizona Arts box office operations, including CFA events, presenting units' events, and performances at Centennial Hall. This role partners with college directors and rental clients to balance industry standards, ticketing platform functionality, pricing strategies, and exceptional customer service. The position also works closely with the Arizona Arts business office and marketing teams to monitor sales trends, generate reports, and adapt strategies as needed, while serving as the liaison with the ticketing platform to ensure optimal system usage. The role requires the ability to attend on- and off-campus events, lift up to 20 pounds related to box office equipment at outside venues, and work occasional evenings and weekends. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Supervise and evaluate box office staff, ensuring adherence to operational standards and customer service expectations.
- Resolve escalated event or patron issues requiring policy interpretation or financial decisionmaking.
- Coordinate daily scheduling, staffing coverage, and workflow distribution across sales and event shifts.
- Manage event setup and box office readiness, including seating manifests and system configuration.
- Identify and recommend operational improvements to streamline processes and enhance patron experience.
- Oversee day-to-day and night-of operations of the physical box office. Supervises 3 full time staff, 14 ancillary positions, and 10 student staff.
- Monitors all staff and point of sale systems and equipment for PCI compliance.
- Lift up to 20 pounds, related to box office equipment required at venues outside of Centennial Hall.
- Direct liaison with ticketing platform to advocate for best possible usage of the system.
- Ability to attend events both on- and off-campus.
- Occasional evening/weekend hours required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Advanced knowledge of ticketing platforms, cash handling procedures, and PCI compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of management practices, university policies, academic performances, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging trends among university presenters and performing arts organizations.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience working with Ticketmaster box office systems.
- Professional experience within a university setting, preferably in the arts or College of Fine Arts environment.
