Project Manager

Harkcon, Inc. is seeking a part-time Project Manager to support a contingent contract opportunity. Should Harkcon be awarded the contract, you will be hired to oversee a team of 6-7 personnel as they provide on-site administrative and logistics support to the U.S. Coast Guard's Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Project Residence Office (PRO) in Mobile, AL.

Be part of the excitement as the newest cutters to join the USCG fleet are built and tested. In this role, you will be responsible for contract coordination, communication, reporting support, and oversight of personnel working under the contract.

This is a remote, part-time position requiring approximately 6 hours per week beginning in August 2026. The role may be structured as either part-time employment or 1099 contractor status.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for all contractor work performed under the contract and will serve as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative.

Qualifications

• BA/BS
• 5 years of relevant experience (CG experience preferred)
• 4 years of experience in a Project Management role
• Familiarity with Coast Guard, maritime, shipbuilding, or ship construction environments.
• Prior experience supporting Government contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Outlook)
• Ability to manage low-hour, part-time oversight responsibilities with reliability and responsiveness.
