Project Manager

Yardi Systems
United States
May 23, 2026

About the Role:

Are you a payments professional who thrives at the
intersection of operations, compliance, and product delivery? We're looking for
a driven Payment Operations Project Manager to own high-impact initiatives
across Yardi's payments ecosystem-spanning rent collection, bill pay, card
programs, and ACH operations. You'll coordinate cross-functional workstreams,
drive payment product launches, and serve as an operational anchor for a team
navigating complex regulatory requirements, bank partner relationships, and
evolving card network rules. Your role will involve managing competing
priorities with precision, translating compliance obligations into actionable
project plans, and partnering with product, engineering, risk, and finance
stakeholders to deliver results. If you're energized by the pace of fintech,
the rigor of payments compliance, and the opportunity to shape how millions of
residents and property managers transact-this role is for you!

What You'll Do:

  • Own end-to-end project management for payment operations
initiatives, including ACH program changes, card product launches, bank partner
    integrations, and compliance-driven process redesigns.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across product,
engineering, compliance, legal, and bank partners to ensure payment projects
are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with regulatory
    requirements.
  • Translate payment compliance obligations-including BSA/AML
requirements, card network operating rules, Reg E, and money transmission
regulations-into structured project plans with clear milestones, owners, and
    tracking.
  • Monitor payment operations performance metrics, identify
process gaps, escalate risks, and drive continuous improvement across AR and AP
    payment workflows.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a
related field; or equivalent experience in payments, fintech, or financial
    services operations
  • Three or more (3+) years of experience in payment
operations, payment processing, or fintech program management, with
demonstrated knowledge of ACH, card, or bill pay ecosystems
  • Five (5) or more years of project management experience,
with a track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in a
    regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of payment compliance frameworks,
including BSA/AML, NACHA operating rules, card network rules (Visa/Mastercard),
and applicable federal regulations (Reg E, Reg Z)
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, including
the ability to build and maintain project plans, track deliverables across
parallel workstreams, and communicate status clearly to leadership
  • Experience supporting or executing payment product roadmap
initiatives, including new payment method launches, risk control
    implementations, or bank/processor onboarding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to identify risk, evaluate trade-offs, and drive resolution across
    operational and compliance issues
  • Comfort working with payment data, operations reporting, and
tools such as Excel, project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, or
similar), and internal workflow systems; SQL familiarity a plus
  • Familiarity with the property management industry and/or
proptech payments landscape, including rent collection, HOA payments, or
    property bill pay
  • Thinks and acts strategically by connecting operational
details to broader business objectives, anticipating downstream implications of
payment decisions, and recommending process or policy improvements
  • Proven independent sound decision making and problem solving
    skills
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven strong ability to meet critical deadlines and
prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage strategic projects with multiple
    touch points
  • Collegial team-oriented disposition with the desire and
ability to establish cooperative working relationships with employees at all
levels within Yardi, outside of Yardi, and with clients
  • Understanding of the payments industry competitive
landscape, including key processors, bank sponsors, payment facilitators, and
emerging fintech entrants relevant to property management
  • Ability to travel occasionally (up to 15%) for team
meetings, bank partner engagements, or industry conferences

Ideal to Have:

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience working with or alongside banking partners, card
networks, or payment facilitators in a program management or compliance
    capacity
