As a Registered Nurse within the Special Procedures Interventional Radiology Unit at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick, you will help advance patient care and strengthen the experience of individuals and families across our organization. Special Procedures Interventional Radiology Special Procedures is a non-invasive procedural area that treats both inpatients and outpatients at the main New Brunswick campus and the Morris Cancer Center. Special Procedures provides care to patients of all populations who require non-invasive procedures to all areas of the body. The department works very close with both our level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke programs. The department functions seven days a week and takes call in the overnight hours for emergent cases mostly consisting of trauma and stroke patients. To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS Certification with at least 2 years of RN experience in Critical Care or Emergency Department experience required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. ACLS Certification is required. Cluster Certification, CCRN, PALS Certification is preferred. Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a Full-Time Day Shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday - Friday with required weekends shifts and on call weekend and holiday rotations , 40hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance. This is a 4 - 10 Hour shifts schedule.
