As aDistribution Warehouse Supervisor,you will maintain a motivated, well trained work force and ensure implementation of fair treatment of employees by following established rules and procedures and ensuring that unusual circumstances are resolved. Reporting directly to the Distribution Center Leader you will lead your assigned department, manage associated labor, and expense budgets, equipment, inventory, and warehouse space. Within the business you will work with manufacturing, sales and marketing, corporate logistics, and externally with third party contractors!

Shift: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a work environment free from accidents and ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees through training and housekeeping programs. Follow all Federal (DOT/OSHA/EPA), State and Local regulations, corporate procedures relating to safety and environmental issues.
  • Help implement a distribution plan to achieve zero stock-out goals, maximum inventory turnover and inventory accuracy. Participate in physical inventories. Ensure deliveries and shipments are accurate and comply with ISO requirements and complete reports.
  • Develop a relationship with customers (internal & external) by handling all customer inquiries. Use the Quality Process to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Train individuals on all aspects of performing daily job tasks in a distribution environment using ORACLE WMS software or have parallel experience in an ORACLE operating environment.
  • Manage different special projects to increase distribution efficiencies and promote continuous improvement. Lead projects within assigned area to improve performance in safety, quality, cost, modern management, and customer service goal areas.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree with 4-6 years of proven leadership and DC experience (running a dept), or physical distribution work experience that can be considered equivalent or can be viewed as similar to the aforementioned educational qualifications and work experience.
  • 3+ years' experience running a DC dept with 6 to 8 employees minimum.
