Description
The Director of Assessment and Accreditation leads assessment, accreditation, continuous improvement, and reporting processes for the College of Education. This position supports data-informed decision-making across educator preparation programs and collaborates with faculty, program directors, university stakeholders, and state agencies to ensure compliance, quality assurance, and ongoing program improvement. The Director of Assessment and Accreditation contributes to state approval, CAEP accreditation, institutional effectiveness, and external reporting efforts related to educator preparation programs. Assessment & Continuous Improvement
- Lead assessment and continuous improvement processes across educator preparation programs
- Collect, analyze, and report candidate and program assessment data
- Manage Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) processes and reporting timelines
- Collaborate with faculty and program directors to align assessments with professional, state, and accreditation standards
- Develop reports and recommendations to support program improvement and strategic planning
- Support assessment dashboards, reporting tools, and data-informed decision-making
Accreditation & Reporting
- Support state and national accreditation efforts, including CAEP accreditation maintenance and reporting
- Coordinate data collection, documentation, narratives, and evidence for accreditation and compliance processes
- Manage reporting related to CAEP, Title II, Tennessee Annual Report, Tennessee Educator Preparation Report Card, National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ), and SACSCOC assessment reporting
- Assist with Specialty Area Program (SAP) submissions and state approval documentation
- Support accreditation visits and state review processes
Data Management & Operations
- Maintain assessment, accreditation, and candidate data systems
- Prepare reports for college leadership, program directors, and university stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting systems and assessment records
- Maintain updated syllabi and key assessment documentation
- Coordinate annual inter-rater reliability training for faculty and adjuncts
- Manage assessment-related platforms and systems, including 240Tutoring and GoReact
- Coordinate graduate, employer, and candidate feedback surveys and outcome tracking
Licensure & Quality Assurance
- Support licensure documentation and data verification processes
- Maintain the College of Education background check database and verification process
- Collaborate with program managers and university personnel to support candidate compliance and progression
Collaboration & Professional Engagement
- Collaborate regularly with college leadership, faculty, program directors, and university offices
- Support faculty training related to assessment and accreditation processes
- Represent the College of Education at professional organizations and state meetings, including TACTE
- Support grant-related assessment, evaluation, and reporting efforts as needed
