Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst / Business Systems Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months contract

Job Description - Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Mapping: Analyze complex source data sets and business processes to define comprehensive mapping logic. You will be responsible for creating the "Source-to-Target" documentation used by the development teams.
  • SQL Development: Write and execute complex SQL queries to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and gaps in source systems before they hit the production pipeline.
  • Conversion & Reconciliation Reporting: Build and execute automated reporting frameworks to track data conversion health. You will perform side-by-side reconciliations between load-ready files and destination systems to ensure 100% data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Create and present mapping materials for socialization and formal sign-off. You will provide regular status updates to the broader project team, translating technical data hurdles into clear business impacts.
  • Triage & Incident Management: Support the verification phase by triaging system issues. You will analyze incidents, determine root causes, and develop status reports to keep stakeholders informed of resolution progress.

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced SQL: Must be able to write joins, subqueries, and window functions to audit large datasets.
  • Data Lineage: Proven experience in creating Source-to-Target Mappings (STTM) and data flow diagrams.
  • System/Tools: Proficiency in Snowflake and Google Sheets.
