What You Will Do

  • Provide strategic and daytoday leadership across converting and plant production operations to meet or exceed safety, quality, productivity and cost targets.
  • Own accountability for safety, health, environmental and quality compliance on the operating floor.
  • Coach, train and develop salaried and hourly team members (supervisors and operators) in safety, quality, production, problem solving, technical skills and interpersonal communication.
  • Lead, coordinate and align operational priorities with commercial/business objectives to ensure production and on-time delivery of highquality products at the lowest practical cost consistent with customer requirements and company profit goals.
  • Partner crossfunctionally with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Commercial, Planning and Supply Chain to remove constraints, improve reliability and ensure production continuity.
  • Champion and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.) focused on process reliability, employee engagement and customer value; lead kaizen events and implement standard work.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance planning and reliability efforts in collaboration with maintenance and plant engineering teams; help set and achieve reliability goals.
  • Be a visible presence on the floor-support frontline leaders, identify improvement opportunities, reinforce standards, and promote a positive work environment and culture of accountability.
  • Maintain and reinforce effective housekeeping and materials/packaging handling practices to support safety and efficiency.
  • Develop operational metrics, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions to meet production and cost objectives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in corrugated converting manufacturing operations
  • Experience troubleshooting converting equipment and recommending solutions
  • Supervisory or managerial experience with multiple direct reports
  • Experience developing and training employees in production processes and leading teams on the operating floor
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of corrugator equipment, packaging materials processes, and corrugated quality standards
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or CMMS systems (examples: Kiwi, MP2)
  • Knowledge of equipment servicing, planning/scheduling, supply chain management, mechanical maintenance and plant engineering
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, kaizen facilitation, 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
