CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Plant Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team and support operations at a client site in Bessemer City, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safe, stable, day-to-day operation of the production unit-partnering across EHS, manufacturing, commercial, and R&D teams to ensure alignment and drive short-range process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals in a dynamic plant environment while continuing to build depth in industrial operations and system optimization.



What You'll Do:

    Support safe, stable plant operations by identifying and resolving production issues, resolving process challenges, and maintaining system performance
  • Apply engineering analysis and standard practices to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall process effectiveness
  • Support safety initiatives, including observations, audits, process safety assessments, and incident investigations with root cause analysis
  • Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for manufacturing and industrial facility projects
  • Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices to support safe, efficient, and reliable mechanical systems


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in chemical engineering with the ability to apply concepts to real world industrial and manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $110,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
