Job Summary

#CA-PS
Under general supervision, function as an application developer for web-based applications in the IET Academic Applications - Enterprise Student Applications unit supporting Enrollment Management. Provide analysis, design, and programming during the entire software development process. Work with the client community of prospective students, applicants, current students, faculty, and staff to create software solutions that meet the needs of all constituents. Provide project updates by communicating project information, conducting demonstrations, design sessions, and providing support.

Candidates must already possess authorization to work in the United States to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and / or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining modern web applications.
  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL, APIs, and other methods to consume data.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs.
  • Experience working with end users verbally and in writing to document requirements, define specifications and communicate instructions.
  • Skills developing applications with web programming languages, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which include the exercise of tact and diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using DevOps tools for source control and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.
  • Experience conducting design sessions, customer focus groups, and product demonstrations, effectively and professionally.
  • Experience in the design, development, and deployment of projects using cloud technologies (e.g. AWS EC2, S3, VPC, ECS, RDS, Lambda)
  • Skill programming in Adobe ColdFusion
  • Skill in writing documentation and test plans for complex processes.
  • Skill prioritizing workload and providing effort estimates for assigned projects.
