DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be supporting the financial activities of the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund by reviewing data, validating transactions, and helping resolve discrepancies. Work involves ensuring financial information is accurate and required reports and processes are completed on time. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:
- Financial Review: Examine expenses, revenue, and reports to ensure accuracy
- Data Verification: Compare information from WCAIS, TPA reports, SAP, and Treasury postings to identify inconsistencies
- Issue Resolution: Research and resolve problems in financial records and explain unusual findings
- Invoice Processing: Compile checks and invoices, verify information, and support required processing steps
- Report Preparation: Produce weekly, monthly, and year end reports and summarize information for leadership
- System Updates: Enter and maintain accurate financial data in WCAIS and support system improvements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
- One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
