THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Grants Center by helping manage grant agreements, rebate programs, and administrative procedures for a variety of environmental initiatives. Through your work, you will ensure that funding is processed correctly and that program requirements are met. As a Management Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Grant Preparation: Develop and process grant documents, contracts, and scopes of work through required approval channels
  • Budget Monitoring: Review invoices and budgets, recommend adjustments, and track financial activity for assigned grants
  • Document Review: Check applications and supporting materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Program Assistance: Provide administrative support to grant sponsors, program staff, and applicants throughout the grant process
  • Data Management: Update databases, track payments, and maintain documentation required for grant administration
  • Compliance Checks: Perform contractor responsibility reviews and verify compliance with state and federal requirements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
