Under minimal supervision plans, develops, implements and evaluates effective large communication efforts including strategy development, content determination, creative direction, research, writing, editing and validation. Position Summary The Communications Advisor within Corporate Communications' Global Public Affairs and Advocacy team will help shape efforts to amplify the company's policy narrative with media, policymaker, and political influencer audiences. This is a unique opportunity to join a team responsible for developing and executing public affairs strategic and grassroots advocacy programs to advance policy goals, develop content to share across earned and owned communications channels, and amplify the FedEx presence in communities we serve across more than 220 countries and territories. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree/equivalent. Minimum Experience Five (5) years directly related experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master's Degree equals two (2) years experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated experience in institutional or corporate communications with an emphasis on communication planning/analysis and exposure to print and non-print media strategies. Ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, creative and effective communication strategies. Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity, grammar, writing and human relations/relation management skills. Preferred Qualifications: "This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories with a preference for Washington, DC area, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
