LVN Clinic - Urgent Care - La Jolla

This is a benefited, full-time position (72 hours per pay period) with a 12-hour VARIED shift schedule including weekends and holidays located at our Scripps Clinic in Torrey Pines. This position will work 3 shifts per week starting at 8am or 10:30am. The ideal candidate will be someone who has Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care on the front lines. In this role you will be supporting the Pas throughout the department and supporting our team of Medical Assistants with taking vitals and verifying immunizations.

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will:

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Current California LVN license
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of outpatient experience as LVN or LPN
• Experience in an outpatient setting
