About the Program

Multnomah Crisis and Treatment Center (CATC) is a secure sub-acute Crisis Residential Treatment program serving adults experiencing acute mental health crises in a safe, recovery-focused environment.



  • 16-bed inpatient behavioral health facility
  • Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Recovery-centered and trauma-informed care model


Service Areas Include:



  • Care Oregon clients in Clackamas, Washington, and Multnomah Counties
  • Uninsured, Medicare-only, or Open Card clients residing in Multnomah County
  • Trillium clients in Clackamas, Washington, and Multnomah Counties


CATC provides comprehensive psychiatric stabilization and recovery support services through a team of peer specialists, clinicians, nurses, psychiatrists, and recovery professionals dedicated to helping residents move toward stability and long-term wellness.


About the Role

As the Intake Coordinator (QMHP), you will play a critical role in the admissions and referral process for the program. You will serve as both the first point of contact for incoming residents and a trusted liaison for hospitals, clinics, outreach teams, and community referral partners.

This role combines clinical judgment, relationship-building, organization, and compassionate engagement. Your work directly impacts how individuals begin their recovery journey and ensures residents are connected to the appropriate level of care quickly, safely, and respectfully.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee and coordinate all referrals for the CATC program
  • Review clinical documentation and assess whether clients meet medical necessity criteria for admission
  • Collaborate with hospitals, Unity Center, walk-in clinics, outreach teams, and other referral partners
  • Ensure insurance verification and authorization requests are completed accurately and timely
  • Educate residents, guardians, and families about the intake process and available treatment options
  • Support guardians with intake paperwork and answer questions throughout the admissions process
  • Coordinate closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team regarding admissions timing and milieu considerations
  • Serve as a resource to staff regarding referral management best practices and workflows


Schedule

Part-Time | 24 hours per week

Preferred schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, Alternative scheduling may be discussed during interview


Compensation

$26.46 - $32.69 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.


What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, social work, or related field leading to QMHP eligibility through Oregon MHACBO
  • Active MHACBO QMHP certification required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age


Preferred Experience

  • Behavioral health referral review and level-of-care determination experience
  • Familiarity with Recovery and Rehabilitation philosophy
  • Experience working with Smartsheets and Excel
  • Experience supporting vocational, housing, or dual diagnosis services
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
