Reliability Engineer Location: Salt Lake City Utah Schedule: 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off) Week 1. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (9-hour days) Week 2. 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour days) Type: Contract opportunity approved for 1 year and could be extended. Rate:$75.00 to $85.00/Hr. Overview: We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to support testing and reliability efforts within the Molecular R&D organization. You will evaluate electromechanical medical devices, identifying product limits, and driving improvements across the product lifecycle. This position works cross-functionally within project teams and the broader test and reliability group, contributing expertise to ensure product performance, quality, and robustness. Key Responsibilities Execute engineering activities aligned with test and reliability disciplines for electromechanical medical devices Design, develop, and perform testing to evaluate product performance, durability, and environmental limits Conduct root cause analysis on failures and recommend corrective actions Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and protocols across all development phases (DVT, DV, etc.) Design and support test fixtures and test systems Perform and oversee testing including: Environmental (temperature, humidity, altitude) Shock & vibration Reliability/lifecycle testing Shipping validation Dust and water ingress (IP testing) Electrical, EMC, and EMI testing Participate in and contribute to design reviews, investigations, and risk assessments Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and leadership to meet project and organizational goals Ensure all work complies with quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) Ideally, 10+ years of experience, and prefer for test and reliability experience Experience testing electromechanical systems or medical devices preferred Problem-solving skills and experience with failure analysis & data interpretation Experience working within regulated environments and quality systems is a plus.
