TEKsystems is looking to hire a Systems Engineer for one of our healthcare clients in the Central Valley. This is a hybrid role in Fresno.

Architects, implements, and documents technical solutions that are medium to complex in nature under minimal guidance from senior Engineers using well established Engineering practices according to the following Project Lifecycle methodology: Initiation, definition, research, analysis, design, kickoff, implementation, testing, feedback, go live, documentation, and closure. * Installs, configures, troubleshoots, implements, integrates, maintains and supports various network operating and infrastructure systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Domain Controllers, Active Directory, MS Azure Active Directory and Administration, Group Policies, Exchange email/calendering platform, Exchange in O365, Operating systems (Windows, AIX, and various dialects of Linux), Microsoft Roles and Features (File Services, Key Mgmt Service, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustering, Certificates, etc), Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS), HP v7000 blade systems, Cisco and HP standalone servers, Cisco Storage Area Network (SAN) Switches, Centralized Storage Arrays from NetApp, HP, and Pure, VMware virtualization platforms, Data Protection platforms, and Data Center Keyboard/Video/Mouse (KVM) equipment. * Performs Server Patching and upgrades according to the following System Lifecycle Workflow: Strategic project planning, budget process, resource analysis, stakeholder analysis, project planning and assignment process, system analysis and design, procurement and installation, implementation process, requirements testing, maintenance requests, maintenance process, and ongoing system evaluation. * Maintains compatibility between all hardware and software using an N-1 approach, where N=latest versions. * Identifies and tracks dependencies between hardware and software systems, licenses, certificates, logon accounts and passwords used for system services, modules, etc. * Builds and deploys secure base operating system image(s) that are fully tested, vetted and approved. * * Maintains monitoring, alerting, and reporting of hardware and software. * Maintains metrics illustrating performance trends and risks. Tracks all maintenance requests through change management or a punchlist of future improvements. * Collaborates with business and clinical analysts on technology projects by performing system technical reviews and resource assessments to determine implementation requirements and costs. * * Maintains skillsets necessary to implement, support, monitor, and diagnose software. Executes operational tasks (administrative, break/fix, diagnostics, patching, reporting, configuration changes). * * Performs system backups and restores. * Provides on-call services when required as part of team on-call rotation schedule. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Strong understanding of systems architecture and design. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Windows Server Operating Systems, and common scripting languages (i.e. Powershell, VB Script, PERL, Windows Scripting Host). * * Advanced troubleshooting techniques. Ability to install, configure, and support server operating systems, Active Directory Directory Services (ADDS), server and storage equipment, software, and related components. * * Ability to work on medium to complex projects and assume project accountability. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. * Knowledge of information gathering techniques, ability to analyze workflow processes, document customer and vendor requirements, and produce written proposals and recommendations. * * Ability to work independently and as a team member. * Effective oral and written communication. * Self-motivated, focused, and change oriented. Skilled to work on a team with motivated cross-functional individuals focused on a common goal of delivering leading edge solutions. *Job Type & Location*This is a Permanent position based out of Fresno, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $99320.00 - $129125.00/yr.
