Job Description TEKsystems is hiring a Network Engineer to support an enterprise telecommunications customer. This role is responsible for the design, configuration, support, and troubleshooting of IP network environments for business and managed services clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise IP networks, and enjoys working in a collaborative, customer-facing environment. This position supports both day-to-day operations and project-based network initiatives, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable network performance. Responsibilities * Support, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IP-based network infrastructures * Monitor network performance and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner * Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices * Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services in enterprise environments * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and customer teams * Participate in network deployment projects, including planning and execution * Ensure configurations meet SLA requirements for performance, availability, and scalability * Document network changes, incidents, and customer interactions within a ticketing system Top Skills & Qualifications * 3-5 years of hands-on experience engineering and supporting IP networks * Strong experience with: * Routers, switches, and firewalls * Network troubleshooting and performance analysis * Enterprise IP networking environments * Solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals Work Environment * Hybrid work schedule * Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
