IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Functional Analyst for a 12+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ and Charlotte, NC.

This is a hands-on role for a self-starter with strong analytical skills to work on a high-visibility Gen AI project involving summarization and a chatbot. The successful candidate will define the end-to-end business functional requirements and contribute to the software development lifecycle from inception through implementation, working closely with developers to build and test the solution.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain business requirements (functional and technical) in partnership with the business and obtain sign-off
• Create functional solutions, conduct FSD walk-throughs, and obtain sign-off
• Act as an SME, identify product development opportunities, and own the functional delivery end-to-end
• Define testing requirements together with the QA team
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business and project management resources
• Establish and operate within the project governance structure, managing and escalating issues and risks
• Contribute to the design and development of the project-level roadmap
• Ensure projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented
• Work with data sourcing to validate data completeness from acquisition to report delivery
• Work with stakeholders during UAT to ensure all deliveries are signed-off

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree and/or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years as a Business Analyst/Functional Analyst
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a Functional Analyst executing end-to-end Gen AI projects
• Experience creating/designing effective prompts for large language models to query complex questions
• Well-versed with Gen AI tools and terminologies, with working knowledge of large language models, embedding models, and Vector DB
• Working knowledge of Python and SQL
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Ability to work across multiple business groups and domains in a fast-paced environment
• Experience building high-performance, enterprise applications at scale

Desired skills:

• Ability to build POCs using Python/Streamlit

Pay range: $43.56 - $51.56 per hour
