Kettle Assistant - Seasonal

For 130 years, The Salvation Army of Dane County has offered spiritual ministry, social services, and youth programs to thousands of Dane County residents, without discrimination. This is a part-time, seasonal position beginning June 2026 and ending July 2026.

The Kettle Assistant will engage, communicate with, and schedule volunteers to ensure strong participation and support for the Red Kettle Campaign, advancing the organization's mission in the community.

About the role:

• Schedule Volunteers for Requested Bell Ringing Shifts.
• Enter Bell Ringing Data into Golden database.
• General Clerical Duties.
• Willingness to promote the mission of The Salvation Army.
• Responsible for items assigned (kettles, equipment, etc.)
• Flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
• Must be clean, neat, well groomed.
• Dress appropriate for location and weather.
• Smiling, friendly, cheerful attitude.
• Prompt and consistent attendance.

Education: High School/GED

Experience: Computer Experience, ability to answer phones in a professional manner.

Skills:

• Excellent Customer Service
• Effectively Communicate with Volunteers through phone or email
• Answer questions/inquiries asked by volunteers
• Computer applications related to the work including skills in Microsoft Word, Internet, and E-mail
