Entry-Level Engineer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for an Entry-Level Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Support the MDA DTGX Ground Test Truth team, performing product generation/delivery, pre-mission analysis, and post-mission data analysis.

• Use existing MATLAB, Python scripts, SQL queries, and other internal applications to generate products and process large amounts of test execution data.

• Documents and briefs analysis results for every supported Ground Test Event.

• Explore ways to update/optimize our tools and processes.

Required Experience:

• BS in an Engineering discipline.

• No direct experience required.

• Must be able to work both independently and with a team.

• Must be able to meet deadlines and coordinate with teammates to execute tasks.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing SECRET Clearance.

• Co-op or internship highly preferred.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Experience in performing data analysis using programs such as MATLAB and Python.

• Experience using Microsoft SQL Databases to query results to answer questions about the data stored in the database.

• Experience in tool/script development.

• Ability to learn how to clearly and concisely present data analysis to leadership and peers.

• Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency ground test program.
