Photo Retoucher (Contract)
Summary
A leading creative production team is seeking an experienced Photo Retoucher to support high-visibility visual content and digital product experiences. This role requires expert-level retouching skills, a refined visual eye, and the ability to deliver polished imagery that aligns with premium brand and design standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive studio experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong portfolio showcasing fashion, beauty, technology, and lifestyle imagery. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional creative teams including art directors, designers, editors, and producers in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality photo retouching and post-production for digital and product-focused experiences.
- Retouch and composite imagery with a focus on portraits, beauty, color correction, masking/silhouetting, and compositing.
- Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure imagery meets visual and technical standards.
- Interpret creative direction and implement feedback efficiently and accurately.
- Work within established design comps and template layouts.
- Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and timely asset delivery.
- Troubleshoot technical and workflow-related production issues as needed.
- Adapt quickly to new tools, software, and workflows.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional photo retouching experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and technology imagery.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, Lightroom, and Keynote.
- Deep understanding of color, composition, masking, beauty retouching, and image finishing techniques.
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced production environments.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
Additional Requirements
- Resume submissions must include a portfolio and/or website link showcasing relevant retouching work.
- Hybrid work arrangement required.
- Candidates must be able to work onsite in either Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA.
Contract Details
- 6-month contract assignment
- Hybrid schedule
- Pay Rate:
- Culver City, CA: $60/hour
- Cupertino, CA: $61/hour
